Emergency Tooth Extraction in Indianapolis

Emergency Tooth Extraction

Do you have a severe toothache? Have you suffered a dental accident?
You may need emergency tooth extraction services. At our office, we do
emergency tooth extraction for patients who have a damaged tooth that
can’t be saved. We do everything possible to save your tooth but if the
damage is severe or you are in severe pain, we perform an emergency
extraction.

Signs you need an emergency extraction

No one wants their tooth extracted. But if you are experiencing some
of the signs below, you need to consider the possibility of an emergency
tooth extraction.

Strong toothache

Toothaches may come and go but if you have a strong persistent pain
that doesn’t subside even after you do some first aid at home, consider
an emergency extraction with the advice of your dentist.

Swelling or decay

There are times when a decayed tooth can be saved but other times,
the decay is severe and the root of the tooth has already been damaged.
Sometimes you notice swelling and leaking pus. Your dentist will advise
whether an emergency extraction is inevitable.

Broken tooth

Teeth may break from car accidents, sports injuries, or even after
biting hard food. Small breaks or cracks can easily be repaired but if
they are large and are affecting the root, an emergency extraction may
be done.

Before we decide on an emergency tooth extraction, we explore other
ways of saving your tooth. If nothing can be done, we extract your tooth
because an emergency can’t go away on its own. For immediate
appointments call our office.
